Services

Outpatient Pediatric Therapy
At The Brave Space LLC, outpatient therapy provides children and families with individualized support based on each child’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. Therapy may help children develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, build confidence and resilience, navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, grief, trauma, or difficulties at home or school.

Trauma-Informed Care
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It's a psychotherapy approach designed to help people process and recover from distressing memories and experiences, particularly trauma. Although it became well known for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), it's also used for some anxiety disorders, phobias, grief, and other conditions.

Caregiver Support
Parents and caregivers may also be involved in the therapeutic process when appropriate. The goal is to create a brave, supportive space where children can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. We want caregivers to be supported as well.
Meet Mary Kate
Hi, I'm Mary Kate!
I am the owner and therapist at The Brave Space LLC. I have a deep passion for supporting children through some of life's most challenging moments. My work is built on one simple belief: every child deserves a brave, safe space where they feel truly heard. I have a genuine commitment to helping kids find their footing and to live their childhood to the fullest. Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of working across a wide range of settings — including in-home therapy, school-based counseling, group work, social welfare, and case management. That breadth of experience has given me a well-rounded understanding of the many different challenges children and families face, and it shapes how I approach every child I work with — meeting them exactly where they are.
